Winners of Semi-Finals of International B-Plan Competition of IIM-K Echoes 2k19-20 at IIBS Bangalore


International Institute of Business Studies, Bangalore, hosted the semi-finals for IIM-Kozhikode  International B-Plan Competition Echoes 2k19-2020  Selection Round two days Workshop on 26th & 27th Sept. 2019.


Dr. Arpitha Velanky, after intensive training and assessment, selected the finalists among the IIBS PGDM and MBA management students. The two days comprehensive workshop assessed all the participants, on the basis of their Intellect, presence of mind, and several other factors. The overall performance was considered.


On day one, session one onwards, the competitiveness was seen as the Indian Institute of Management- Kozhikode would be the final ground for the students of the B-school to showcase their abilities.
On the second day, the pitching and the approach mattered a lot. The individual interaction gave a lot about fresh minds. The handling of situations, and the ways participants’ competitiveness to perform and outperform others was significant.

The semi-finalists chosen will be sent to the IIM-Kozhikode Campus, for the Finals. The group of five students was selected:

  2. Kinjal Jaiswal
  3. Sagar Prakash Babu
  4. Telagathoti Rushikesh
  5. Alston Sebastian D'Souza

Sapling Plantation & Teachers Day Celebration - IIBS Bangalore


The Celebrations of Teachers Day was marked with the plantation drive conducted by the MBA students as a tribute & expression of gratitude to teachers. Teachers’ day is celebrated to commemorate the birth of great academic philosopher, former ex-president of India Dr. Sarvepallyi Radhakrishnan, who was the first Indian scholar to teach at Oxford University. On September 5, 2019, Teacher’s Day was celebrated in International Institute of Business Studies.


The celebration started with Tree Plantation in the surrounding the campus at 11.00 am. The plantation was inaugurated by our respected Registrar Prof. N.S.R. Murthy and our respected Dean Prof. Kuldeep Sharma along with all teaching and non-teaching faculties and students.


As per our Indian culture, the program started with lighting the lamp in our campus auditorium hall at 12.30 pm. In the presence of all faculties and students of MBA and PGDM batch 2019-2021, dignitaries shared valuable words and real-life memories along with few faculty members. Students also expressed their love for teachers through their self-written quotes, poems, and Shayari. They also performed cultural activities like singing, dancing, etc.


The program was beautifully concluded with the cake-cutting ceremony with all the faculties and students.

Induction Program for MBA Batch 2019-21at IIBS Bangalore


Inaugural Function of Induction Program of Bangalore Central University MBA Batch 2019-2021

IIBS conducted the orientation of the MBA batch 2019-21 (Bengaluru Central University) at IIBS Bangalore campus. The induction program was organized to give proper guidance about the institute to the new MBA students so that they could get a complete and perfect picture of the institution. Mr.B.K.Gupta presided over the inaugural function of the Induction week as the Chief Guest along with College Dean. Prof. Kuldeep Sharma and Registrar, Prof. N.S.R.Murthy.

The event took place in the seminar hall, where all the dignitaries, faculties and students gathered. The inaugural function started with a prayer song, sung by Ms.Ishika, a student from the new batch. The program was followed by Lighting the lamp ceremony by the chief guest and our distinguished guests as well.  A welcome speech was given by Dean of the Institution Prof. Kuldeep Sharma. His powerful words improved the students’ morale.


Our eminent group of faculties were introduced to the fresh batch, where every faculty member gave guidance to the MBA students and was also able to motivate them. This was followed by the wise words shared by Prof.N.S.R.Murthy, Registrar. His astute words gave students a sense of understanding in a much deeper level.


The chief guest, Prof.Braj Kishor Gupta, was able to interact with the students for a short session and in that period he taught them about overcoming failures and how to rise in their own eyes. His moving words were more memorable with his impromptu poems. The way he looks at life and the energy he shared in that period was remarkable.


Our chief guest was gracefully felicitated by Ms. Raja Sulochana Dean of the college Prof. Kuldeep Sharma was felicitated by Dr.H.Prabhakar and Dr.Samir Pradhan felicitated Registrar Prof.N.S.R.Murthy.
The program was concluded by Vote of Thanks proposed by the student of PGDM BACT 2019-21 Ms.Shweta.

Workshop on B-Plan Competition IIM-K Echoes 2019-20 at IIBS

  •  You will be attending 2 days of training (16 hours)  Registration Fee: Rs. 1150/- per student.

  •  The students, attending selection round training workshop, will be going through a selection procedure and at the end of the second day of training,  5 students will be selected to the finale at IIM - Kozhikode.

Independence Day Celebration & Prayers at IIBS Bangalore


73rd Independence Day of India is fervently celebrated on 15th of August 2019 at IIBS Bangalore campus. IIBS Chairman Dr. Jay Prakash, unfurled the National Flag and all students & IIBS team sang the National Anthem. Prayers by IIBS team, after the flag hoisting, IIBS team gather here to learn, share and reflect on the insights, experiences, and wisdom of others, we are reminded of how blessed we all are.


In the current world around us, many suffer and face grave challenges. We stand in solidarity with them in compassion and by practising loving-kindness to ourselves and all those around us. May we all also have patience, courage, understanding, and determination to meet and overcome inevitable difficulties, problems, and failures in life.


May our parents, our teachers, and mentors, our MBA and PGDM students and parents living beings across the world...be well, happy and peaceful. May no harm come to them. Tree Plantation on Independence Day at IIBS Bangalore


IIBS Bangalore Celebrated this Independence Day by Planting many trees. Planting a sapling/ tree is a lifelong investment. How well this investment grows depends on the type of tree selected and the planting location, the care provided during planting, and the follow-up care after planting. Getting your new tree off to a healthy start will help the tree mature to its full size and ensures it will provide environmental, economic, and social benefits throughout its lifetime.


IIBS Rotaract club members in association with Rotary Heritage NCC have completed tree plantation program at Bagalur Village on Sunday 28th July 2019 and planted more than 126 saplings.


After the flag hoisting on 15th August 2019 by IIBS Chairman Dr. Jay Prakash, more than 63 saplings were planted in and around IIBS campus as a continuity of Tree Plantation program.


Earlier IIBS Rotaract club members in association with Rotary Heritage NCC have completed tree plantation program at Bagalur Village on Sunday 28th July 2019. IIBS Rotaract members lead by Rtr. Pres. Rahul Parashar and Rotaract in-charge faculty Prof. Rubina Chetri did a wonderful job of a sapling – tree plantation along with Rotarians planted more than 126 saplings.

Why Zumba is fun to get fit? A session by Rubina Sheikh at IIBS


Zumba fitness session by Ms.Rubina Sheikh (A licensed Zumba & Fitness Instructor) on the premises of IIBS Bangalore. After the presentation, Ma’am gave a detailed session on Time Management which included management of time in our everyday life. She created a daily time-wise routine so that each student can manage their time properly without much wastage.


The Sunday session was mainly a two and half an hours of fitness session conducted in the college which comprised of Zumba. Before the Zumba session, the one-hour warm-up session was conducted to motivate the MBA and PGDM students to come up on stage and participate in any activity of their choice. Overall it was a very energetic and exciting session for all the students.


Zumba is a great way to exercise and fellowship with other people in a fun atmosphere!
